Karsten Langer

Mr. Karsten Langer has been a partner with The Riverside Company since 2006. He currently leads the firm’s investment and portfolio management activities in the Benelux and France. Prior to this role, he spent three years building up Riverside’s pan-European origination team. Previously, Mr. Langer was Managing Partner of an independent corporate finance firm in Brussels, advising on numerous transactions across Europe for blue-chip multinationals and private equity firms. He also spent five years with GE Capital Europe, including as Chief Operating Officer of TIP and Modular Space, and in corporate business development. Mr. Langer started his career with Danske Bank in Copenhagen. He holds a BSc (econ) from the Copenhagen Business School and a Masters in Management from EAP – European School of Management (now ESCP Europe), and speaks English, French, Danish, German, Portuguese and basic Dutch.

For the year until June 2012, Mr. Langer served as Chairman of the EVCA (European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association).
